VIA Technologies introduced APC Rock and Paper. APC Rock is a board for prototyping projects. It is a complete redesign of the original APC module. APC Paper, which features a recycled cardboard case, is an embedded computer for connecting to the Internet without the need for Windows applications. Both Rock and Paper run a custom Android system built for keyboard and mouse input.
VIA Technologies introduced their ARTiGO A1200 slim PC kit. The VIA ARTiGO A1200 features a 1.0GHz VIA Eden X2 dual core processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, VIA VX900 media system processor (MSP), one HDMI and one VGA display port, two high-speed GigaLAN Ethernet ports, four USB 2.0 ports, CFast socket, two audio jacks (Mic-in and Line-out), 12V DC-in power and an optional USB 3.0 host port. The VIA ARTiGO A1200 slim PC kit is ideal for home or office applications, including home server, home automation, hotel management, media streaming, digital signage and surveillance applications.
VIA Technologies introduced the $49 APC Android PC system. APC features a WonderMedia ARM processor, Neo-ITX motherboard, VGA and HMDI display ports, four USB 2.0 ports, microSD slot, Ethernet port, 2GB NAND Flash, and 512 DDR3 SDRAM. The Android PC system includes a browser, preinstalled apps, and a custom build of Android that has been optimized for keyboard and mouse input. The APC will be ship in July 2012.

The VIA EITX-3002 features VIA VX900H media system processor, 1.2GHz VIA Nano X2 E-Series or 1.0GHz VIA Eden X2 dual core processor, 17cm x 12cm Em-ITX form factor, onboard DC-to-DC converter, HDMI port, VGA port, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, dual COM ports, two USB ports, two USB 3.0 ports (optional), and power and HDD activity LEDs. The VIA EITX-3002 board is ideal for medical, healthcare, industrial and building automation, digital signage, kiosk, POI/POS, gaming and surveillance applications.
VIA Technologies and WTI Investment International have sold S3 Graphics to HTC Corporation for $300 million. S3 Graphics was acquired by VIA Technologies in 2001. S3 Graphics is a provider of graphics visualization technologies for computers, game consoles and, mobile devices. HTC is a global designer of mobile phones.

The VIA Nano X2 processor features better computational performance and improved multi-tasking ability without consuming more power. VIA Nano X2 processors are ideal for desktop computers, all-in-one PC’s, and mobile notebooks. Samples of the VIA Nano X2 processors are available now for OEMs and motherboard vendors.
