Microchip Technology introduced the LIN 2.1 and SAE J2602-2 compliant and low-power MCP2003A transceiver, MCP2021A, MCP2022A, MCP2025 and MCP2050 LIN System Basis Chips (SBCs), and PIC16F1829LIN System in Package (SiP). The devices feature a voltage regulator, windowed watchdog timer, battery monitor output, MCU, high Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) levels of more than 15 kV on the LIN bus and battery-voltage pins.

GE Intelligent Platforms announced that its recently-released A10200 AdvancedTCA® single board computer will now be offered with the option of the latest Intel® Xeon® processor 5600 series, formerly codenamed Westmere-EP and launched today by Intel. This innovative technology provides the dual processor A10200 with up to six cores and 12 Mbytes of L3 cache for each CPU, enabling a processing performance improvement of up to 50% compared with the dual Intel Xeon processor 5500-based version of the A10200, which continues to be available.
