Microchip Technology has expanded their Arduino compatible chipKIT platform ecosystem. This includes the chipKIT Pi Expansion Board, which is a new Raspberry Pi tool that it co-developed with element14. The chipKIT Pi’s advanced features simplify Arduino based application development for the Raspberry Pi.The new expansion board also adds large memory space, fast performance and integrated peripherals for human-interface, audio-processing and advanced-control applications. The chipKIT Pi Expansion Board is priced at $28. Boards are expected to become available in the final week of September.
Microchip Technology introduced the PIC32 GUI Development Board with Projected Capacitive Touch. The tool enables development of multitouch projected-capacitive interfaces, and high-quality 16-bit color graphics to WQVGA displays in any application. It is based on PIC32MX795F512H with 105 DMIPS performance, 512KB Flash and 128KB RAM. The PIC32 GUI Development Board with Projected Capacitive Touch (part #DM320015) is available today for $249.
Microchip Technology introduced the DM320014 and DM320413 PIC32 MCU-based development boards. The DM320014 is a USB digital audio accessory board, while the DM320413 is a digital audio mixer board. The two development boards are powered by Microchip’s PIC32MX250F128 32-bit MCU. The DM320014 and DM320413 enable audio and voice device development for a broad range of applications. Both digital audio mixer boards are available now with prices starting at $69.99. The DM320413 is offered exclusively to Apple MFi licensees, via Apple’s authorized distributor. The DM320014 is available at microchipDIRECT.
