Microchip Technology introduced the LIN 2.1 and SAE J2602-2 compliant and low-power MCP2003A transceiver, MCP2021A, MCP2022A, MCP2025 and MCP2050 LIN System Basis Chips (SBCs), and PIC16F1829LIN System in Package (SiP). The devices feature a voltage regulator, windowed watchdog timer, battery monitor output, MCU, high Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) levels of more than 15 kV on the LIN bus and battery-voltage pins.
Microchip Technology launched their BodyCom technology. It is the first framework for using the human body as a secure communication channel. BodyCom technology provides a secure, low-cost and easy method for implementing short-range, low-data-rate wireless communication with the lowest power consumption. The BodyCom Development Framework is available via free download, and it works with any of our PIC microcontrollers.
Microchip Technology introduced the SST25PF020B, SST25PF040B and SST25PF080B SPI Flash memory devices. The SST25PF020B is priced at $0.53 each, in 8-lead 150 mil SOIC, 8-contact USON (3×2 mm), or 8-contact WSON (6×5 mm) packages. The SST25PF040B starts at $0.66 each, in 8-lead 150 mil SOIC, 8-lead 200 mil SOIC, or 8-contact WSON (6×5 mm) packages. The SST25PF080B starts at $0.81 each, in 8-lead 150 mil SOIC, 8-lead 200 mil SOIC, or 8-contact WSON (6×5 mm) packages. All prices are based on 10,000 unit-quantities.
Microchip Technology introduced the RN52 certified Bluetooth Audio Module. The product helps designers add high-quality wireless audio and data capabilities in a broad range of applications. The RN52 Bluetooth Audio Module will be available in a compact, surface-mount form factor in March. Prices start at $16 each in 1,000-unit quantities. The module is ideal for wireless stereo speakers, headphones, automotive hands-free, medical devices and computer accessories.
Microchip Technology introduced the PIC32 GUI Development Board with Projected Capacitive Touch. The tool enables development of multitouch projected-capacitive interfaces, and high-quality 16-bit color graphics to WQVGA displays in any application. It is based on PIC32MX795F512H with 105 DMIPS performance, 512KB Flash and 128KB RAM. The PIC32 GUI Development Board with Projected Capacitive Touch (part #DM320015) is available today for $249.
Microchip Technology introduced their MTCH101, MTCH112, MTCH810 and MTCH6301 turnkey controllers. The new devices are ideal for multitouch projected-capacitive touchscreens and touchpads, proximity detection, and haptic touch feedback. All of four of the controllers are available now for sampling. Volume production is expected next month.
Microchip Technology introduced the MCP19035 power-conversion controller family and the MCP87xxx family of power MOSFET devices. The MCP19035 and MCP87xxx families are available now for sampling and volume production. The MCP19035 family is available in a 3×3 mm 10-pin DFN package. Prices start at $1.12 each in 5,000-unit quantities. The MCP87022 and the MCP87050 are availalbe in a 5×6 mm 8-pin PDFN packages and the MCP87055 is available in a 3.3×3.3 mm 8-pin PDFN package. Prices start at $0.96, $0.45, and $0.39, respectively (5,000-unit).
Microchip Technology introduced their configurable MGC3130 electrical-field based 3D gesture controller. The device features patented GestIC technology. GestIC enables the next dimension in intuitive, gesture-based, non-contact user interfaces for a broad range of end products. The configurable MGC3130 E-field IC offers low-power, precise, fast and robust hand position tracking with free-space gesture recognition. Samples of the MGC3130 are available now in a 5×5 mm 28-pin QFN package. Volume production is expected in April 2013. Prices start at $2.26 each in high volumes.
Microchip Technology introduced the MCP6H7X, MCP6H8X and MCP6H9X operational amplifier families. The three new op amp families are low-power, general-purpose devices that expand the range to 12V supply voltages. All nine members of the new Microchip MCP6H7X/8X/9X op amp families are available in single, dual and quad configurations.

Prices start at $1.54 each (in 10,000-unit quantities). The dsPIC33FJ06GS001 and dsPIC33FJ06GS101A are offered in 18-pin SPDIP and SOIC, as well as 20-Pin SSOP packages. The dsPIC33FJ06GS102A, dsPIC33FJ06GS202A and dsPIC33FJ09GS302 are offered in 28-pin SOIC, SSOP, SPDIP and QFN, as well as 36-pin VTLA packages.
