The ADEPT3100 offers high performance single target tracking with any standard definition analog video signal. The device is ideal for platforms where size, weight and power consumption are severely constrained, such as in the cramped space of small autonomous vehicles and man portable devices.
Microchip Technology introduced the EMC118X temperature sensor IC family. All six members of the EMC118X temperature sensor family are available now for sampling and volume production. Prices start at $0.51 each in 5,000-unit quantities. The EMC1182 is offered in 8-pin DFN and TDFN packages. The EMC1183, EMC1184, EMC1187 and EMC1188 are all available in a 10-pin DFN package. The EMC1186 is offered in an 8-pin TDFN package.
Silicon Labs recently announced their Si50x CMEMS oscillator family. The new Si50x oscillators are based on Silicon Labs’ patented CMEMS technology. They are the first to enable MEMS structures to be built directly on top of standard CMOS wafers in high-volume fabs, which results in fully integrated, highly reliable monolithic CMOS+MEMS IC solutions.
Texas Instruments introduced the bq27421 Li-Ion battery fuel gauge integrated circuit. The TI bq27421 battery fuel gauge is available now in a 1.5mm by 1.5mm by 0.5mm, 9-ball WCSP package. It is priced at $1.20 in 1,000-unit quantities. A QFN package version is sampling to select customers, and is expected to be available in volume production in the fourth quarter.
Texas Instruments introduced their AFE44xx family of analog front end ICs for photometry. The TI AFE devices integrate all the front end components and associated timing control circuitry of a typical photometry solution. The family currently consists of the AFE4490 and the AFE4400. The analog integrated circuits are available now in a compact 6-mm x 6-mm, 40-pin QFN package. The AFE4490 is priced at $7.95 and the AFE4400 is priced at $2.95 in quantities of 1,000.
GreenPeak Technologies recently introduced their GP410 IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee PRO Green Power controller. The chip enables engineers to quickly develop and easily deploy low cost, battery-free, self-powered solutions. Green Power nodes can also be powered by a small battery, and due to the ultra-low power consumption, the battery will easily outlast the application’s expected life span.
Texas Instruments announced the AFE7070 and AFE7071 analog front ends. The two TI AFEs provide low power, high performance and space savings for test and measurement, wireless communications and optical networking equipment. The AFE7070 and AFE7071 are both available now in a 7mm by 7mm QFN package. Suggested retail pricing in 1,000-unit quantities is $11.90 for the AFE7071 and $23.75 for the AFE7070.
Analog Devices announced the ADAS3022 data acquisition integrated circuit. The 16-bit, 1-MSPS ADI IC uses one-third the board space of competing discrete devices. It enables engineers to simplify designs and reduce the size of advanced industrial data acquisition systems. The ADAS3022 is available now in 40-lead LFCSP ((lead-frame chip-scale package). It is priced at $14.95. The chip is ideal for power-line monitors, process and motor control, patient monitoring, and other industrial and instrumentation systems that operate within the ±10-V industrial range.
