Texas Instruments announced the LMP92064 IC. It is the industry’s first digital current sensor and voltage monitor with simultaneous sampling and SPI interface. The TI LMP92064 is available now in a 16-pin, 5-mm x 4-mm WSON package for a suggested retail price of $1.99 in 1,000-unit quantities. The LMP92064 is ideal for applications where precise power monitoring is crucial, such as communications infrastructure applications, including telecom, servers and central office equipment.
API Technologies introduced their XL403D Advanced Digital Accelerometer. The patent pending accelerometer evaluates minimum/maximum, magnitude, peak-to-peak, and tilt right in the accelerometer itself. The XL403D is the first accelerometer to support SCPI-like commands, returns data in engineering units, and works with any standard terminal emulator.
Analog Devices announced their ADMP441 iMEMS microphone. The ADMP441 features an I2S (Inter-IC Sound) digital output, extended frequency response from 100 Hz to 15 kHz, high SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) of 61 dBA, and high PSRR (power-supply-rejection ratio) of 80 dBFS. The ADMP441 is available in a thin 4.72 mm x 3.76 mm x 1.00 mm surface-mount package. It is reflow solder compatible with no sensitivity degradation. The ADI MEMS microphone is now sampling with volume production scheduled for this June. Pricing is $2.38 per unit in 1,000-unit quantities.
