Protecode Developer Assistant Real-time, Open Source License Management

Developer Assistant for real-time management of open source licensing and copyrights is now available to the developer community worldwide. Previously, Developer Assistant was for the Eclipse Integrated Development Platform (IDE). Developer Assistant is the only solution currently on the market to detect open source and other third party code in real-time. Detecting open source licenses as soon as the code is brought in or put together reduces cost and time associated with fixing related problems later down the road.

MathWorks Upgrades Parallel Computing Toolbox

Excel Software Releases QuickHelp 4 for Authoring Help in Any Language

Excel Software has delivered QuickHelp 4.0 to author application help in any language that runs on Mac OS X or Windows computers. Help authoring requires no programming experience or HTML knowledge. Version 4.0 adds Unicode text to support any human language, the Merge Help tool to distribute work and combine help files and the Convert Language tool to help automate the process of translating a help system into other human languages.

Excel Software Debuts WebActivation 1.1 for Software License Activation

Excel Software has enhanced the WebActivation system to activate software licenses. WebActivation is a self-hosted software license server used to activate QuickLicense protected applications or documents. WebActivation 1.1 adds a DLL replacement of all EXE files and enhancements to easily utilize the new activation, release and restore features introduced in QuickLicense 4 without requiring a web browser on the client computer.
