Arithmatica Grants Exclusive Read Channel IP License to Siglead

Arithmatica, the datapath design company, announced that it has licensed its read channel intellectual property (IP) exclusively to Siglead, a Japanese startup that is developing semiconductors and IP for the hard disk drive industry. Siglead will acquire ownership of Arithmatica's read channel IP if certain performance milestones are achieved. The two principle engineering resources at Arithmatica that developed the read channel IP will join Siglead. The total value of the licensing is $1.7M.

Denali Licenses NAND Flash Solution to AMD

Denali Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software and intellectual property (IP), announced it has licensed its NAND Flash solution to AMD (NYSE: AMD), a leading global provider of innovative processing solutions in the computing, graphics and consumer electronics markets. Per this agreement, AMD is licensing Denali Databahn(TM) NAND Flash controller and Spectra(TM) flash file system for inclusion in next-generation processors for handheld devices, providing high performance, simplified system development and low development cost benefits to handheld manufacturers.

NI Simplifies FPGA Development with New Software, Hardware IP

National Instruments (Nasdaq:NATI) announced a new suite of software and hardware intellectual property (IP) to make using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in measurement, control and signal processing applications easier. Collaborating with its worldwide network of customers, integrators and National Instruments Alliance Partners, NI is now making available the FPGA IPNet to provide an open forum for sharing LabVIEW FPGA IP and new hardware I/O modules for analog and digital I/O, communication buses/protocols and motion control. The newly available resources make it easier for engineers and scientists without hardware design experience to integrate FPGA technology into their test and control applications.

Saifun Licences Pulsic Physical Design Technology
