Liquavista Raises 8 Million Euros

Liquavista BV, the fabless display manufacturing company based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with offices in the UK and Hong Kong, has announced the completion of an €8 million Series B fund raising, comprising equity and debt. Existing investors Amadeus Capital Partners, GIMV and New Venture Partners LLC all participated in the round.

eASIC Corporation Raises $48 Million

eASIC Corporation, a provider of zero mask-charge ASIC chips, announced it has raised $48M in late stage financing. The financing round was lead by Advanced Equities Incorporated. Also participating in the round were previous investors Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Crescendo Ventures and Evergreen Venture Partners. The eASIC Chief Financial Officer, Craig Klosterman, also invested in this round.

Intel Capital Makes Investment in Tela Innovations

Tela Innovations, an early stage technology company focused on addressing the challenges of scaling semiconductor manufacturing to 45nm and beyond, announced that Intel Capital, the global investment arm of Intel Corporation, became a new investor in the company. Intel Capital's investment was part of the company's Series B round, which included new investor AsiaTech Management as well as existing investors.

Asad A Abidi Wins IEEE Donald O Pederson Award

Pederson Award in Solid-State Circuits, recognizing his visionary work in integrating emerging communications technologies into what became the nucleus of many popular wireless communications products. Dolomite's Microfluidic Reactor Chip Enable Syrris Flow Reactor

Dolomite has announced that its microfluidic technology has been key to the development of Syrris's new range of flow chemistry technology, enabling automated laboratory equipment company Syrris to develop a new and powerful powerful range of flow reactors. As a part of a joint development project, Dolomite has designed and manufactured a range of microfluidic flow reactor modules that enable the fast and accurate reaction of chemicals for test and analysis. It is anticipated that this technology will have a significant impact on companies involved in such areas as drug discovery, DNA analysis and forensics, by greatly accelerating their research.
