Mercury to Sell Assets of Visage Imaging Embedded Services to Orgabit
Mercury Computer Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MRCY), a leading provider of high-performance computing solutions for HPC and embedded computing markets, announced that Visage Imaging GmbH, a component of its wholly owned subsidiary Visage Imaging, Inc., has reached an agreement to sell the assets of its Embedded Services and Professional Services (ES/PS) businesses. ES/PS were part of Mercury's acquisition of SOHARD AG in July 2005. The ES/PS buyers are companies held by Orgabit Datenservice GmbH, based in Germany. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. The final closure of the transaction is pending third-party customer approval and transfer of employment agreements.
Red Bend Software to Expand with New $10 Million Funding
Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM), announced that it has secured $10 million in funding to fuel the company's expansion into the mobile and machine-to-machine (M2M) markets. The funding was led by new investor Coral Capital Management, joined in the round by Red Bend's existing investors: Carmel Ventures, Greylock Partners, Pitango Venture Capital, Poalim Ventures and Infinity.

MSC Vertriebs GmbH in Stutensee has acquired the majority stake in ABLE Design GmbH. In addition to sales of standard assemblies with TFT, electroluminescent and plasma displays, ABLE Design GmbH, which was founded in 1994 and is located in Munich, focuses mainly on the design of high-quality, customer-specific display solutions. In 2007, the company with twelve employees achieved revenues of 4.5 million Euros.
Liquavista Raises 8 Million Euros
Liquavista BV, the fabless display manufacturing company based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with offices in the UK and Hong Kong, has announced the completion of an €8 million Series B fund raising, comprising equity and debt. Existing investors Amadeus Capital Partners, GIMV and New Venture Partners LLC all participated in the round.
