Achronix Semiconductor to Demonstrate 10.3 Gbps SerDes at FPGA Summit
Achronix Semiconductor will demonstrate its Speedster FPGA’s 10.3 Gbps embedded serial-deserializer (SerDes) capability, a key element of its 1.5 GHz FPGAs. The demonstration will be at the inaugural FPGA Summit, Tuesday through Thursday Dec. 9-11, at the Wyndham Hotel in San Jose, Calif. A video of the SerDes demonstration will be posted after Dec. 11.
Virtutech to Present at IP-Based Electronic System Conference
Virtutech, Inc., the leader in virtualized software development (VSD) solutions for electronic systems, announced that Technical Marketing Manager Jakob Engblom will participate in a panel discussion entitled “When will the Virtual Software Platform hook up to the Virtual Hardware Platform?” during the IP-Based Electronic System Conference and Exhibition (IP-08), December 3-5, 2008 at the World Trade Center in Grenoble, France. The panel will address the differences between fast functional PV virtual system platforms and cycle-accurate virtual hardware platforms. Additionally, Engblom and the other panel members will discuss whether one model can serve multiple industry needs and if the current proposed industry standards are sufficient for both hardware and software platforms.
GateRocket CEO, CTO to Speak at FPGA Summit
At the first annual FPGA Summit coming to San Jose next week, GateRocket executives Dave Orecchio, CEO; and Chris Schalick, CTO will participate in tutorial and technical sessions on the thorny issue of FPGA verification and debug. Orecchio is hosting tutorial session T3B at 2:40 PM on Wednesday afternoon with experts from Mentor Graphics, GateRocket, Altera, Agilent Technologies and Xilinx. The FPGA Summit runs Dec. 9-11 in San Jose, Calif.
