Impulse Accelerated Showcases FPGA-enabled HD Video Processing at CES

Impulse Accelerated Technologies was invited by Xilinx, Inc. to showcase fast prototyping and development of real-time HD video processing applications. In an FPGA-enabled video processing demonstration, HD video is processed in real-time to identify and track a specific object. In this case, an inexpensive, low-power Xilinx FPGA is used to track and highlight “Nemo” as he moves through the scenes of Pixar’s Finding Nemo. This same technology extends to other applications in entertainment, home security and automotive. For example, a specific football player can be instantly identified and highlighted during a game. In an automotive application, highway signs could be identified and automatically read for important information.

Consumer Electronics Show Features Tensilica-enabled Products

Tensilica to Demonstrate DTS-HD Master Audio on HiFi 2 DSP at CES

Tensilica,® Inc. announced that it will demonstrate DTS-HD Master Audio Lossless decoding on the HiFi 2 Audio DSP (digital signal processor), the industry’s lowest power, most area efficient audio processor core, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2009.
