BSQUARE Rolls Out SchemaBSP 6.0 for Creating Windows Embedded CE BSP

BSQUARE (Nasdaq:BSQR) is now shipping version 6.0 of SchemaBSP, a development tool for creating Windows(R) Embedded CE Board Support Packages (BSPs) for ARM-based processors. When used with the Microsoft(R) Platform Builder tool, SchemaBSP enables developers to quickly and easily configure BSP source code for an embedded hardware design, reducing board bring-up time by up to 40%. The product now contains over 250 configurable Windows CE software components, including boot loaders, OEM Adaptation Layer (OAL) components, system modules, and device drivers. Drivers are available for Marvell 3xx, 270, and 2xx applications processors, as well as for Intel(R) IOP3xx I/O Processors.

Pentek Debuts Dual Digital Transceiver with DDC Core, Interpolation Filter

Pentek, Inc., one of the pioneers of VME board-level technology, released its Model 7140-420 Dual Digital Transceiver with Wideband Digital Downconverter (DDC) Core and Interpolation Filter. This is a complete software radio system in a PMC/XMC module. It includes two A/D and two D/A converters for connection to HF and IF ports. This highly versatile transceiver, with greatly extended bandwidth, can fulfill an unusually wide range of applications in signal intelligence, military and commercial communications systems and in radar. This module is also available in a variety of form factors including PCI, 3U and 6U cPCI, as well as a PMC/XMC conduction-cooled version.

PHYTEC, Adeneo Release phyCORE-PXA270 BSP for Windows Embedded CE 6

PHYTEC and Adeneo, both Gold level members of the Microsoft Windows Embedded Partners Program, released to the market a Board Support Package (BSP) for Microsoft Windows Embedded CE 6.0 for the phyCORE-PXA270. The phyCORE-PXA270 is a small, feature rich, insert-ready module based on the XScale PXA270 applications processor from Marvell. The phyCORE module integrates features like Ethernet, CAN, and Audio/Touchscreen codec, offering all the features required for strong multimedia and high bandwidth communication applications.

Connect One(TM), the Device Networking Authority(TM), announced the release of the II EVB-630, an evaluation board which demonstrates how the iChip CO2128, Connect One's newest and lowest cost IP controller, provides Internet connectivity, encryption and superior security in architecture and software for a host processor or device. The II EVB-630 supports effortless integration of many upper layer Internet protocols using either AT+i commands or the iChipConfig Utility and can be used for evaluation and development of secure WiFi, LAN, cellular or dial-up networking, offering developers maximum flexibility in designing machine-to-machine (M2M) applications.

BSQUARE Offers Windows CE Support for Embedded Intel Architecture Chipsets

Seeing the growing OEM demand for Windows CE support in gaming, industrial control, and medical device markets, Intel collaborated with BSQUARE to make Windows CE Board Support Packages (BSPs) available for its Embedded Intel Architecture Chipsets.
