Texas Instruments ADS1298R Analog Front End Device

Texas Instruments (TI) announced the 24-bit ADS1298R analog-front-end (AFE) device. The ADS1298R integrates over 40 discrete components, reduces component count by 97%, and consumes 95% less power than discrete implementations. The TI ADS1298R is available now in an 8-mm x 8-mm BGA package. The eight-channel AFE device is priced at $25.95 in 1,000-unit quantities. ADS1298R devices are available in six- and four-channel versions. The six-channel ADS1296R is $19.95 and four-channel ADS1294R is $13.95.
