Actions Adopts S2C’s 4th Generation Rapid SoC/ASIC Prototyping System
Actions Semiconductor has been successfully using S2C’s rapid SoC/ASIC prototyping system since 2009. Based on this success, after a careful and thorough evaluation, Actions decided to proliferate its use of S2C’s products to accelerate their design process by placing a major order for the dual Stratix IV 820E based S4 TAI Logic Modules and TAI Player Pro software.

S2C Released 7 New Pre-Engineered Prototype Ready[TM] Accessories for Rapid SoC Prototyping
Seven new Prototype Ready accessories added to S2C’s growing library of pre-engineered hardware and software components aimed at speeding the development of SoC prototypes. These modules work with S2C’s TAI LM family of rapid SoC prototyping tools.
The newly released Prototype Ready accessory modules include USB2.0 PHY Interface Module, PCI Interface Module, 2-Channel PCI Master Interface Module, SPI Flash Memory Module, 2-Channel 256MB DDR2 on SO-DIMM Memory Module, 2GB DDR2 Pre-tested SO-DIMM Memory Module, 2GB DDR3 Pre-tested SO-DIMM Memory Module.
These pre-engineered solutions enable the user to focus on the SoC prototype development rather than have to re-engineer solutions that have been engineered and documented by S2C. “The new Prototype Ready accessories work out-of-box with the S2C’s TAI Logic Module series. When building SoC prototypes on FPGA, designers simply choose the TAI Logic Modules that fit their design capacity requirements and then select the interface modules from our Prototype Ready library that fit their application,” said Mon-Ren Chene, Chairman and CTO of S2C.
S2C Opened a Direct Office in Taiwan
S2C has opened a direct office in HsinChu, Taiwan. The office is located near the HsinChu Science Park and will provide direct sales, superior technical support and local hardware maintenance to S2C customers in Taiwan.

Ashok Kulkarni Joined S2C as Director of North American Applications Engineering
Ashok Kulkarni has joined the company as Director of North American Applications Engineering. Ashok is a design verification, emulation and prototyping expert with over 20 years of experience in these fields. He has held various positions in ASIC/FPGA design, applications support, ASIC consulting, and sales and technical marketing.
