IAR Systems, Micrium Address Growing Complexity of Embedded Designs

IAR Systems Software, Inc., a leading supplier of embedded software tools, and Micrium, a leader in embedded middleware, announced plans to expand their partnership efforts to jointly address the growing complexity of embedded designs. The technology alliance will allow the companies to increasingly design, develop, and market embedded tool/software solutions, especially for the 32-bit segment.

“IAR Systems and Micrium are seizing a rapidly expanding opportunity by forming a formal tech alliance for IAR Systems tools and Micrium embedded software” said Nadim Shehayed, IAR Systems US General Manager. “The companies are an excellent match and together offer a complete and complementary solution. The combined expertise of both companies, especially in the 32-bit ARM Cortex arena, is apparent and is increasingly in demand,” he added.

Micrium and IAR Systems have years of experience working with sophisticated microprocessors and microcontrollers. Now they are combining that talent with a focused initiative to provide the best possible solutions, including those targeting the popular Cortex family.

Jean Labrosse, President and CEO of Micrium added, “Micrium and IAR Systems have a 10-year track record of working together. Both companies have grown dramatically during that period, becoming a team that is recognized by the industry. Our focus on ARM Cortex design and development is translating into a number of significant design wins. This technology alliance is designed to further capitalize on that trend.”
