RMI, 6WIND Port Embedded 6WINDGate to Multi-core, Multi-threaded Processors

RMI Corporation, a leading provider of high-performance processors, and 6WIND, a leading provider of embedded software solutions that simplify networking and application development upon multi-core processor based equipment, announced that the companies are broadening their existing partnership aimed at enhancing the performance, scalability and ease-of-integration of advanced carrier-class solutions for their mutual customers. As part of this collaboration, 6WIND is expanding availability of its 6WINDGate[tm] embedded software solutions that will be newly optimized for RMI’s XLR® and XLS® multi-core, multi-threaded processors. The expansion will enhance 6WINDGate’s embedded networking design and application integration simplifications and performance advantages of RMI’s multi-core processors. 6WINDGate is also being made available for customer evaluation across these RMI processor families.

Xilinx Simplifies Power Design with TI Digital Power Management

Texas Instruments (TI) (NYSE: TXN) announced Xilinx is using TI power management technology to simplify power design in its new Virtex(R)-6 ML605 field programmable gate array (FPGA) evaluation kit. TI’s Fusion Digital Power(TM) controllers give FPGA users advanced power management capability and design flexibility, including the ability to monitor a power system’s behavior in real time.

Freescale Announces LDMOS RF Power Transistors, Reference Designs

Freescale Semiconductor introduces two final-stage LDMOS RF power transistors giving designers a choice between discrete and integrated circuit (IC) solutions. This choice, along with two accompanying reference designs, offers designers greater flexibility and speeds time to market. The new transistors are optimized for use in power amplifiers based on Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA), a third-generation wireless standard that is being widely deployed throughout China and also is being considered in other markets.

PI Offers Bench Top and OEM Module Versions of E-616 Piezo Controller

Moxa launches the ioLogik E1200 series of remote Ethernet I/Os, which come with 2 embedded Ethernet switch ports to enable a daisy-chain topology. Aeroflex Debuts Internal Pulse Generator for 2023A Signal Generators

Aeroflex has announced the addition of an internal pulse generator option for the 2023A Series signal generator. This new option greatly facilitates testing in EMC and radar applications by providing an integrated solution that removes the need for an external pulse generator and simplifies test procedures.
