Vishay ACAS 0606 AT Precision Thin Film Chip Resistor Array

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced that it has extended the available power ratings for its ACAS AT series of precision thin film chip resistor arrays with the release of the new ACAS 0606 AT. Featuring two integrated resistors on one substrate, the resistor array offers a high film temperature of + 155 °C, a maximum power dissipation rating of 0.125 W per resistor, and is AEC-Q200 qualified. The high power rating, superior moisture resistivity of < 0.5 % (85 °C, 85 % RH; 1000 h), and 1000-V ESD capability of the ACAS 0606 AT allow the device to meet automotive requirements while offering highly stable performance for industrial, telecommunications, and consumer electronics.

Adeneo Embedded, IntervalZero Team on Soft-Control Architecture

Executives from both companies said that migrating to a Soft-Control Architecture will give OEMs competitive advantages and product differentiation by delivering breakthroughs in throughput and yields; in production quality; in a more compact physical footprint; and in cost reductions of 25-50%.

Accelerometers Set to Become Top MEMS Device by 2013

When you turn your iPhone to the side and the screen automatically adjusts from portrait to landscape view, there’s an accelerometer at work. When you swing your Wii controller and bowl a virtual strike, there’s an accelerometer at work. Indeed, accelerometers in recent years have emerged as a critical input device for some of the world’s hottest electronic products, causing shipments to boom. This will make accelerometers the top-selling Microelectromechanical System (MEMS) device by 2013, according to iSuppli Corp.

Actel Cup China Students FPGA Design Competition Winners

Ramtron FM1105-GA, FM1106-GA Receive AEC-Q100 Grade 1 Qualification

Signatec Debuts SIG-PRG Portable Data Acquisition, Generation Systems
