WIN Enterprises Introduces PL-80090 Modular 1U Rackmount Platform
WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the PL-80090, a modular 1U rackmount platform designed to provide up to 15 x GbE. It features a redundant power supply for use in critical networking and network security applications. Built with Intel® Embedded IA components warranteed for longevity, the PL-80090 supports Intel® quad-core processors with 1333 MHz Front Side Bus and Intel® Virtualization technology for high performance. The platform supports two unbuffered ECC or non-ECC DDRII 800 DIMM slots with memory to 4GB. The storage interfaces include two 3.5″ SATA HDD and CompactFlash[tm].
The optional onboard Cavium Nitrox PX cn16xx security co-processor supports multi-security protocol commands and is able to offload the CPU to increase overall system performance. The platform supports seven GbE Copper and a maximum 8 GbE Ethernet ports via PCI-E by 4. To prevent network problems in the event of a platform shut-down, PL-80900 supports two segments of LAN bypass function through WDT and GPIO pin definitions. The front panel also has one GbE LAN management port, one USB 2.0 port, one RJ-45 console port, and LED indicators that monitor power and storage device activities for local system management. In addition, the PL-80090 supports one PCI-E by 8 slot and one PCI-E by 4 slot. The unit is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
