Certeon Offers Webinar on IBM Rational ClearCase, Team Concert

Posted by Ken Cheung in Events, Training on Monday, February 2, 2009

Certeon, the industry’s first and only vendor to offer a virtualized appliance for application acceleration, announced that it will be hosting a Webinar on improving the performance of distributed IBM Rational ClearCase and Team Concert environments. Charlie Kraus, senior director of business development for Certeon, and Paul Weiss, senior manager of performance and reliability, Rational Division IBM Software Group, will discuss how Certeon’s aCelera application acceleration software cost-effectively reduces Rational ClearCase and Team Concert application response times over the WAN by as much as 93%.

Software configuration management (SCM) solutions are commonly accessed remotely and developers can experience performance limitations when performing SCM operations over the WAN. Critical SCM transactions can take several minutes to complete with typical network latencies, resulting in lost productivity and higher development costs. Using real-life performance test results and customer case studies, this Webinar will show how aCelera can dramatically improve Rational ClearCase and Team Concert developer productivity and overcome the inherent limitations of the WAN.

Attendees will learn:

  • How the traditional limitations of the WAN negatively impact developer productivity
  • How to optimize Rational ClearCase and Team Concert performance over the WAN by leveraging Certeon aCelera application acceleration software
