Inphi® Corporation, a fabless high-speed analog semiconductor company committed to increasing memory capacity and speed while lowering power consumption of computer servers, announced it has passed the 50 million unit shipment milestone for its memory interface analog components. Just four years after shipping its first DDR2 component, Inphi has shipped PLLs and Registers into all workstations, servers, storage and telecommunication applications. With shipments to over 30 customers worldwide, Inphi has solidified its leadership position as a premier supplier of memory logic solutions for server applications.

A report from Gartner Research released in early September 2008 indicated that total server shipments around the world reached 2.3 million units in Q2 2008, up by 12.2 percent compared with the same period last year. Inphi's comprehensive family of memory interface analog solutions supports servers using DDR2 RDIMMs and upcoming DDR3 memory interface server systems beginning early in 2009.

"Inphi's DDR2 memory interface devices are key elements in the enabling of server solutions for second and third generation AMD Opteron[tm] processors," said Levi Murray, vice president of technology enabling and infrastructure development at AMD. "Inphi is a valued technology partner for AMD as they continue to consistently deliver the high performance and superior quality products the industry expects from a market leader."

"Inphi's memory interface analog devices are known for their performance and exceptional quality and Inphi is well positioned to support the next generation DDR3 memory interface migration for servers and workstations," said Young Sohn, president and CEO of Inphi.

Inphi's memory interface analog component family includes Phase Locked Loops, Registers, and Buffers for motherboards used in workstations and servers which deliver the highest performance in terms of jitter, slew rate, clock timing and skew, while meeting or exceeding all DDR2/DDR3 JEDEC specifications.
