ISQED Issues Call for Papers for 2009 International Symposium

The International Symposium and Exhibitions on Quality Electronic Design (ISQED’09) announced that it is now accepting papers, panel organizers, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors for the 10th anniversary event. To be considered for presentation and publication by IEEE, authors are asked to send their articles before the deadline of Oct. 17, 2008. The conference will be held on March 16-18, 2009 at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, CA and will feature twenty-three technical sessions with over 150 papers on various challenging topics related to design, design automation, design for manufacturability and quality, panel discussions, tutorials, and vendor exhibits.

A pioneer and leading multidisciplinary conference, ISQED accepts and promotes papers related to the Electronic Design, Design for Manufacturing, and Design Automation with focus on design quality. Authors are invited to submit papers in the various disciplines of circuit design, high level design, test & verification, design automation tools; processes; flows, device modeling, semiconductor technology, and advance IC packaging. A list of topics include:

1. Electronic Design
1.1 System-level Design, Methodologies & Tools (SDM)
1.2 Package – Design Interactions & Co-Design (PDI)
1.3 Robust & Power-conscious Circuits & Systems (PCC)
1.4 Emerging/Innovative Process & Device Technologies and Design Issues (EDT)
1.5 Design of Reliable Circuits and Systems (DFR)

2. Design Automation and CAD
2.1 EDA Methodologies, Tools, Flows & IP Cores; Interoperability and Reuse (EDA)
2.2 Design Verification and Design for Testability (DVFT)
2.3 Physical Design, Methodologies & Tools (PDM)

3. Manufacturing, Semiconductor Technology and Devices
3.1 Design for Manufacturability/Yield & Quality (DFMYQ)
3.2 Effects of Technology on IC Design, Performance, Reliability, and Yield (TRD)

ISQED 2009 corporate sponsors include Synopsys, Microsoft, Cadence Design Systems, Mentor Graphics, Magma Design Automation, Ponte Solutions, and Silicon Valley Technical Institute. Media sponsors are EDACafe and Chip Design Magazine. ISQED 2009 is held with technical sponsorship of IEEE Electron Devices Society, and IEEE CASS, and in cooperation with IEEE RS and ACM/SigDA. The conference is produced and sponsored by the International Society for Quality Electronic Design. Sponsorship inquiries should be made to michelle@isqed.org.

The International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design (ISQED) is a premier design and design automation conference, aimed at bridging the gap between and integration of electronic design tools and processes, integrated circuit technologies, processes and manufacturing, to achieve design quality. ISQED is the pioneer and leading conference dealing with design for manufacturability and quality issues front-to-back. The conference provides a forum to present and exchange ideas and to promote the research, development, and application of design techniques and methods, design processes, and EDA design methodologies and tools that address issues which impact the quality of the realization of designs into physical integrated circuits.
