Gleichmann Announces Applilet2 Configuration Software for NEC MCUs

Gleichmann Electronics offers immediate availability of free of charge to download building block configuration software for the latest generation 78K0 8-bit microcontrollers as well as the 78K0R 16-bit series of microcontrollers and the V850 32-bit microcontroller family. By means of a comfortable graphical user interface with simple dialog windows and menus, Applilet2 guarantees a fast configuration of microcontrollers. With this tool, in addition to the driver code for peripheral units such as timer, A/D converter, serial interfaces, etc., among other things the complete startup behavior, clock structure, interrupt handling and power management can also be generated.

Applilet2 building block configuration software for NEC microcontrollersApplilet2 also fully supports all of the development tools available for all of NEC Electronics’ microcontrollers including development environments from IAR Systems and Green Hills. Furthermore, users can add their own code to the projects, which will not be changed during code generation.

The Applilet2 software is available now and free of charge to download. Sample projects are provided for Applilet2 when using any of the NEC Electronics target boards. These sample projects are also available to download free of charge.

Founded in 1979, Gleichmann & Co. Electronics GmbH, in the same company group with MSC Vertriebs GmbH, has established itself as one of the leading pan-European distributors of electronic assemblies and components. One of the reasons for the high acceptance by customers and suppliers is the company’s early focus on comparatively few, highly sophisticated products such as microcontrollers, programmable logic devices, displays and customer specific power supplies. From this, the resulting in-depth technical know-how of our sales engineers and field application engineers today enables us, if required by the customer, even implementation of complete new designs right up to the finished product. With two of its own ASIC design centers, the Gleichmann research laboratory in Austria and one of the largest and most modern programming centers in Europe, Gleichmann Electronics takes a leading role in terms of service and customer support.
