SEMICON Taiwan 2008 Features SEMATECH President, CEO

SEMATECH announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Michael R. Polcari will be a featured guest speaker and panelist of the CEO Forum at SEMICON Taiwan 2008, taking place September 9-11, 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Polcari, veteran technologist, will deliver a presentation entitled "Maximizing Productivity from Lab to Fab" on Tuesday, September 9 at 2:20 p.m. at Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), Taipei. He will outline a broad range of innovative productivity enhancements being developed in research labs and manufacturing fabs, based on the work being done at SEMATECH in cooperation with its global members and partners, and their potential impact on the industry's overall profitability and sustainability.

Additionally, Dr. Polcari will join other CEOs and presidents from Synopsys, ATMI, Diamond Technology Center, and Kinik Company in a panel discussion that will address various aspects of innovation for productivity improvement.

Dr. Polcari has served as president and CEO of SEMATECH since 2003, directing the global consortium's advanced technology and manufacturing programs. Previously, Polcari was vice president of Procurement Engineering for IBM Global Procurement. He holds a doctorate in solid state physics from Stevens Institute of Technology, and has served on various industry and university advisory boards.
