Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ: NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, illumination, power and system solutions; announces a web-based seminar featuring the 16-bit H8S microcontroller from Renesas. This seminar will highlight the H8S/2378 microcontroller’s ability to interface directly to a TFT-LCD via Renesas’ Direct-Drive technology; eliminating the need for an external LCD controller. The H8S/2378 is one of a series of devices supported by a defined software application-program interface (API) increasing the portability of third party graphic routines and applications programs.
During this 45 minute seminar, attendees will receive:
- A detailed overview of the Direct Drive methodology
- Hints and tips on developing TFT-LCD based applications
- Training on the full suite of development tools
- An overview of the software available to assist engineers in quickly bringing products from concept to production
“With the H8S microcontroller, Renesas has created a technology to enable new markets with the desire to integrate a graphical interface into their products with minimal engineering resources,” said Rita Megling, senior vice president of marketing for Nu Horizons. “It is this type of differentiating capability that we like to highlight within our XpressTrack customer education program.”
“We are excited to participate in this web seminar and showcase the diversity of our H8S microcontroller,” stated Bill Hood, senior director of sales for Renesas. “Nu Horizons’ XpressTrack education program has trained thousands of engineers, both in person and online. It is a great opportunity for us to reach a large audience with a quick, effective and easy format.”
This seminar will take place on Thursday, August 7. There are two opportunities to join this online seminar: 11am EST and 3pm EST.
