Enfora Rolls Out Enabler III BGA GSM/GPRS Wireless Platforms
Enfora, a leading global supplier of intelligent wireless networking solutions, announced its Enabler III BGA, a feature-rich GSM/GPRS wireless platform designed to address the requirements for extended operating temperature, vibration tolerance and CAN bus compatibility in automotive applications.

"It showcases our rich history and experience with GPS and tracking applications." Enfora has previously been granted Parts Warrant Submission by Jaguar for its Spider® MT product, which is based on the Enabler platform.
The Enabler III BGA comes in a 224-pin BGA hardware package that is designed to be more easily integrated into an end device, and that supports interfaces to a variety of peripherals such as camera and Bluetooth devices, along with SD and USB memory components.
The Enabler platform, with integrated IP communications functionality and support for multiple communication protocols, enhances device performance while shortening the overall development cycle. Additionally its embedded software environment enhances the integration and rapid deployment of capabilities specific to the demanding automotive market. Utilizing a programmable rules engine, network router, along with unique control and automation capabilities, the Enabler platform simplifies the operation and remote management of devices for the automotive industry.
To further accelerate deployment, Enfora's Service Gateway can be used to provision devices and perform firmware over-the-air (FOTA) upgrades. The Gateway also enables proactive management and control of the devices during regular operation.
Enfora also announced today that 10 separate models in the Enabler series of wireless platforms, including the Enabler III BGA, have passed AT&T's certification to operate on their data network.
