Innovasic Samples IA82527 Replacement for Intel CAN Controller

Innovasic Semiconductor, a leader in extended life semiconductor solutions, announced the availability of samples of the IA82527. The samples are form, fit, and function replacements for the original Intel® 82527 Serial Communications Controller (CAN Controller).

The Innovasic replacement supports the same CAN 2.0 Specification (Part A and B), as the original device, including standard and extended message frames. In addition the replacement can be used for message filtering on standard and extended message frames.

Innovasic IA82527 - Intel 82527 Serial Communications Controller ReplacementThe IA82527 is available in 44-Pin PLCC and 44-Pin QFP RoHS compliant packages for the automotive temperature range (-40°C to 125°C).

Samples are available immediately, production units will begin shipping in Q4 of 2008.
