The HyperTransport(TM) Technology Consortium will present a live webcast, “DRC Coprocessor Supporting Multiple HyperTransport Links Enables New, Low Latency, Compute-Intensive Applications.” Combining latest generation coprocessor technology with direct HyperTransport links delivers a computational environment that supports very low latency and high data throughput applications. These applications, characterized by the need to process vast amounts of data in a very short, often sub-second time, are found in markets as diverse as online search, homeland security, financial trading and cryptography.
In this web seminar, DRC Computer Corporation will introduce its latest Opteron socket-compatible coprocessor solution, featuring the highest FPGA and memory capacity in the industry, as well as multiple HyperTransport links. Specific application examples will also be discussed.
Presenters for the June 12th broadcast will be:
- Steve Casselman – DRC Computer – Chief Technical Officer, Co-Founder
- Roy Graham – DRC Computer – Business Development
- Mario Cavalli – HyperTransport Consortium – General Manager
The HyperTransport Technology Consortium is a membership-based, non-profit organization that licenses, manages and promotes HyperTransport Technology. The Consortium was founded in 2001 by leading technology innovators like AMD, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, NVIDIA, PMC-Sierra and Sun Microsystems and counts more than 60 industry leading members worldwide, including industry leaders AMD, Broadcom, Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, Nvidia, Renesas and Sun Microsystems. Consortium membership is based on a yearly fee and it is open to companies interested in licensing the royalty-free use of HyperTransport technology and intellectual property.
DRC Computer Corporation is a leading provider of true coprocessor solutions, addressing the needs of time-critical, data intense applications in the finance industry, security environments, web companies and biomedical markets. If it’s about search, sort or encrypt, DRC can accelerate applications by up to 100 times.
The live webcast will take place on Thursday, June 12, at 11 a.m. pacific time. Afterwards, it will be available on demand from WebEx and the HyperTransport Consortium archives.
