Advansus Unveils EEC410 Q965, GME965 Mini-ITX Barebone System

Posted by EDA Geek News Staff in Embedded Systems on Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Advansus, a leading computer designer and manufacturer, introduces the EEC410 universal Mini-ITX barebone system, available in a Q965 and a GME965 Mini-ITX motherboard version. The EEC410 combines a streamlined case and an interchangeable motherboard with a 200W power supply. System developers can quickly and flexibly configure it for system performance, expansion, I/O connectivity, and power solutions.

System Overview
The EEC410 has an elegantly shaped, compact and lightweight aluminum shell. The front panel allows convenient operation with a single power switch, two USB ports and two LEDs for power and HDD status. The housing accommodates standard Mini-ITX motherboards, one 200W ATX power supply, and an internal hard drive bay for a 2.5-inch IDE/SATA HDD. Installation is made easy using a pair of brackets which support two options, one for desktop and one for wall mount. The rear panel is supplemented with one PCIe full-height or half-length slot, and there's one knock-out COM port for flexible expansion.

Advansus EEC410 Q965, GME965 Mini-ITX Barebone SystemQ965 / GME965 Platform
The EEC410-Q965 and EEC410-GM965 provide excellent solutions for media-intensive applications such as Gaming and Digital Signage. Both systems support Intel Core Duo series processors for high-speed performance, integrated Intel GMA (Graphic Media Accelerator) 3000/X3100 for 3D Graphics, dual Audio streams with a combined 6W Audio amplifier for surround sound effects, and TPM (Trusted Platform Module) for the secure generation of cryptographic keys. Both systems feature snap assembly for quicker time-to-market solutions.

Versatile I/O
Both the EEC410-Q965 and the EEC410-GM965 systems are designed with an ATX I/O opening on the rear I/O shield which offers one VGA port, three audio jacks, four USB ports, one keyboard and one mouse port, and two powered COM ports with 5V/12V output. The EEC410-GM965 offers an additional DVI port for dual view display, and optional dual Gigabit LAN ports. The EEC410-Q965 offers one PCIe x16 expansion slot to upgrade to higher performance graphics card if required for extreme gaming.

OEM/ODM Available
Due to its modular design, the EEC410 series is able to accept many Mini-ITX motherboards with custom I/O shielding upon request. Customers are welcome to contact us for a fast, quality DMS (design and manufacturing service) request. Our Advansus team has the experience to deliver broad industry knowledge and total cost competitive solutions for OEM/ODM customers.
