Xilinx, Inc. (Nasdaq: XLNX) announced its unveiling of the new radiation-tolerant, reprogrammable Virtex(R)-4QV FPGAs for high-performance space applications at the 2008 Single Event Effects Symposium (SEE), April 15-17, 2008 in Long Beach, California. Xilinx employees will also present multiple papers at the SEE Symposium as well as provide an in-booth demonstration and technology presentation available for show attendees throughout the conference.
Technical Papers Highlighting Xilinx Technology
Wednesday, April 16
- 9:20 a.m. — Test Techniques and Lessons Learned: The XRTC Virtex-4 FPGA SEE Test Campaign
- 9:40 a.m. — An Automated Approach to Estimating Hardness Assurance Issues in Triple-Modular Redundancy Circuits in Xilinx FPGAs
- 10:00 a.m. — Upset Test Methodology and Results for a Mitigated-by-TMR MicroBlaze Soft-Core Processor
- 11:10 a.m. — Optimized Virtex-4 FPGA Self Hosting Configuration Management
The Single Event Effects (SEE) Symposium is dedicated towards the understanding of radiation-induced SEEs in microelectronics and photonics. SEEs occur when a single particle (neutron, proton or other heavy ion) interacts with the atoms that makeup a semiconductor.
