The Design and Verification Conference (DVCon), sponsored by Accellera, will be held next week February 19-21, 2008 at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose, California. The conference has a record number of registered attendees as well as the largest number of exhibitors in its history. The conference announced today participants in John Cooley’s annual “Troublemakers” panel to be held Wednesday, February 20 from 3:00-4:30 in the Oak/Fir Ballroom.
Top-level executives on this years panel include: Rajeev Madhavan , CEO of Magma; Paul Lo, senior vice president and general manager of Synopsys Analog and former Avanti president; Dennis Brophy, Accellera vice chair; Venk Shulka, CEO of NuSym; Dean Drako, CEO of IC Manage; Brett Cline, The SystemC Poster Boy; and Gary Smith of Gary Smith EDA. A cocktail reception will immediately follow the panel.
Cooley sent a request to his email database asking for edgy questions targeted at specific executives on the panel. He will moderate the panel and direct specific panelists to answer submitted questions. As has become tradition, the panel will answer attendees concerns about products, industry issues, rumors, etc.
Hours for the exhibits are Tuesday, February 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, February 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A complimentary registration to attend the exhibits is available.
