IEC Honors Xilinx ISE Software, MOST NIC LogiCORE IP Solution
Xilinx, Inc. (Nasdaq: XLNX), the world's leading supplier of programmable solutions, announced that its ISE(TM) 9.1i design software and MOST(R) NIC LogiCORE(TM) IP Solution have been named 2008 DesignVision Award finalists by the International Engineering Consortium (IEC). Finalists were chosen from a record number of competing products by a panel of judges selected from the 2008 DesignCon technical program committee. Award winners will be announced at the 2008 DesignVision Awards Ceremony at DesignCon 2008 on Tuesday, February 5 at noon in the theater of the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Xilinx ISE 9.1i Design Software
Xilinx(R) ISE(TM) design software was selected based on its industry-leading SmartCompile(TM) technology, which improves run times by up to an additional 6X while maintaining exact design preservation of unchanged logic. The ISE design environment is optimized to address today's leading design challenges including timing closure, productivity and power. Xilinx ISE design software leverages the unique ExpressFabric(TM) technology of the latest 65nm Virtex(TM)-5 family, providing the industry's fastest performance. For power sensitive applications, 9.1i also reduces dynamic power by an average of 10 percent.

Xilinx MOST NIC LogiCORE IP Solution
MOST, a growing standard for automotive multimedia networks is a fiber-optic based network providing integration for passenger infotainment networks. The Xilinx MOST NIC LogiCORE IP, in conjunction with the Xilinx Automotive (XA) solution and embedded processing, allows designers to leverage the MOST network by providing a higher level of customization in a scalable and flexible design solution. A complete hardware and software solution is realized when the core is used in conjunction with Xilinx MicroBlaze(TM) soft processor solution, drivers, and MOCEAN Network Services. The MOST NIC LogiCORE IP can be used with the Xilinx Automotive development kit to develop applications for MOST in-vehicle, multimedia networks.
