HyperTransport 3.0 – An In-Depth Technical View Webcast
The HyperTransport(TM) Technology Consortium will present a live webcast, "HyperTransport 3.0 - An In-Depth Technical View," highlighting the increased capabilities of HyperTransport 3.0 and the applications that they enable. The webcast will focus primarily on five new features introduced with this specification:
- Link Splitting
- Clock Rate And Bandwidth Extensions
- AC Mode (capacitive coupling)
- Dynamic Link Frequency and Width
- Hot Plugging
Presenters for the December 13th broadcast will be:
- Jay Trodden - MindShare, Technical Trainer
- Mario Cavalli - HyperTransport Consortium, General Manager
The HyperTransport Technology Consortium is a membership-based, non-profit organization that licenses, manages and promotes HyperTransport Technology. With an aggregate bandwidth of 41.6 GB/s, HyperTransport 3.0 delivers the performance required for chip-to-chip, board-to-board and chassis-to-chassis applications in supercomputing and data center environments. Using an industry-standard approach, designers can achieve greater business efficiency and lower total cost of ownership when developing compute-intensive systems.
The live webcast will take place on Thursday, December 13, at 10 a.m. pacific time. Afterwards, it will be available on demand from the TechOnLine and the HyperTransport Consortium archives.
