The webcast will focus primarily on five new features introduced with this specification:

  • Link Splitting
  • Clock Rate And Bandwidth Extensions
  • AC Mode (capacitive coupling)
  • Dynamic Link Frequency and Width
  • Hot Plugging

Presenters for the December 13th broadcast will be:

  • Jay Trodden – MindShare, Technical Trainer
  • Mario Cavalli – HyperTransport Consortium, General Manager

The HyperTransport Technology Consortium is a membership-based, non-profit organization that licenses, manages and promotes HyperTransport Technology. With an aggregate bandwidth of 41.6 GB/s, HyperTransport 3.0 delivers the performance required for chip-to-chip, board-to-board and chassis-to-chassis applications in supercomputing and data center environments. Using an industry-standard approach, designers can achieve greater business efficiency and lower total cost of ownership when developing compute-intensive systems.
