MontaVista Offers Webinar on GPL, Open Source Licensing Issues

In addition to Mr. Wacha's position as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and General Counsel of MontaVista Software, Inc., he is a director and founder of Open Bar, a nonprofit organization educating developers and legal professionals about open source software.

Mr. Wacha has been featured in publications such as the San Francisco Daily Journal and InfoWorld as "one of the country's preeminent experts on open source software licensing" and "one of the smartest open source attorneys on the planet." He co-chaired the recent Software Licensing Agreements conference presented by the American Conference Institute.

This web seminar will give open source developers, managers, and executives vital information on legal and licensing concepts. Mr. Wacha will discuss copyright and copyleft arrangements, the ways in which license agreements affect business practices, how companies can determine liabilities and protections, and key differences between GPL v2 and GPL v3.

The Thursday, December 13 web seminar has been scheduled for a full 90 minutes to allow ample time for questions from the audience.
