Lambda UK is showcasing an extensive display of new products, ranging from tiny board-mounting DC-DC converters to multi-kilowatt power supplies, at Southern Electronics 2008. On display in the UK for the first time is the iQE series of quarter-brick DC-DC converters. With a broad range of output voltages from 3.3 to 15V, this series is rated at up to 204W and offered with two input voltage ranges – either 18V to 36V or 36V to 75V. A key highlight to these new and innovative products is its incredibly flat efficiency curve, staying at more than 91% efficiency under a wide 25% to 100% load.
Setting a new standard for flexible, reliable, AC-DC power systems in OEM, industrial and laboratory applications, Lambda’s newest member of the Genesys(TM) family is the 5kW module. It offers one of the highest power densities available in a compact 2U unit, and is offered as a full line up with 12 versions, including output voltage ranges of 0-8, 0-60, 0-150 and 0-600V.
Lambda’s latest generation of KPS PCB mountable AC-DC power supplies, the KPSA series, has undergone a further shrink to meet demand for ever more diminutive applications in fields as diverse as factory automation, telecom and datacom, printers and motor drives, and instrumentation. Available in three versions, the KPSA-5, the KPSA-10 and the KPSA-15, they offer 5, 10 and 15W power levels respectively. Each model is presented in a variety of standard output voltages from 3.3V to 24VDC with intermediate voltages available on request.
Lambda’s new HWS1000 series is ideal for powering industrial equipment that demands very high reliability and long field-life. Units are available in ten nominal output voltages – from 3.3 to 60V – and each model can be adjusted locally, using an external potentiometer, or remotely, using a 1 to 6V programme voltage. The HWS1000 series is suitable for operation from inputs in the range of 85 to 265VAC at 47 to 63Hz, or 120 to 330VDC, and meets the tough SEMI F47 (200VAC line only) power line sag specifications and EN61000-3-2 harmonic correction standards.
This year’s Southern Electronics event will be held at the new Farnborough International Venue and Events (FIVE) building from 6th – 7th February, 2008. During the show, visitors to the Lambda stand will have the opportunity to see first hand an impressive array of leading-edge products as well as speak to Lambda engineers about their project needs.
