Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) announced its quality and reliability department was presented with the JEDEC Technical Recognition Award. The company received this award for its ongoing contributions to help JEDEC develop and improve standards in the areas of second-level reliability, high-temperature package warpage, HBM ESD testing and marking permanency.
Awarded by the JEDEC board of directors, the Technical Recognition Award acknowledges the outstanding technical expertise provided by Altera employees resulting in the completion or enablement of JEDEC standards. To qualify for this award, Altera presented the results of the company’s technical studies to help JEDEC develop timely and relevant specifications for quality and reliability test methods.
“The contributions from industry leaders, such as Altera, play a critical role in the success of JEDEC,” remarked Mian Quddus, JEDEC chairman. “We are pleased to present this technical recognition award to Altera and appreciate the commitment the company has made to technology standardization.”
