Webinars Feature Virtualization with MontaVista Linux CGE

MontaVista® Software, Inc., the leading provider of Linux® for intelligent devices and communications infrastructure, announces open registration for three educational webinars in partnership with VirtualLogix.

Attendees will see how MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition (CGE) has been optimized to meet the requirements of virtualization on single-core and multi-core processors. VirtualLogix will use MontaVista Linux CGE to demonstrate RTOS and Linux virtualization with VLX for Network Infrastructure, a real-time virtualization technology from VirtualLogix, designed for the demanding real-time environments of communications equipment.

“Carrier grade” is a term for software and hardware products that support public telecommunications and data communications networks. Carrier grade products require extremely high degrees of reliability, scalability, and performance to provide an uninterrupted flow of the enormous volume of high-bandwidth data and voice needed for today’s multimedia communications. Leading network equipment providers such as NEC, Motorola, Alcatel-Lucent, and others have made MontaVista Linux CGE the most widely-deployed Linux in the carrier grade market.

The November seminars are appropriate for network equipment providers, embedded application developers, communications device architects, and technical managers who need the power of a dedicated carrier grade Linux environment for their applications. Participants will learn how MontaVista Linux CGE leverages virtualization to increase reliability, improve flexibility and scalability, and provide high availability over a range of operating conditions and transaction volumes.

The 60-minute web seminars have been scheduled at convenient times for developers located around the world. Details are available online at www.linuxwebinars.com. All three sessions will be presented live, with time for questions from the audience. Admission is complimentary and all information will be presented via the Internet, with both computer-streamed audio and telephone access available.
