Solid to Make Multi-Core Presentation at AdvancedTCA Summit
Bob Sawyer, Marketing Manager for Solid Information Technology, and James Edwards, Technical Marketing Manager for AMD, will present at the third annual AdvancedTCA Summit, taking place October 16 - 18, 2007. The presentation, "Exploit Multi-Core Performance by Software Consolidation," will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16 and will cover AMD and Solid's new, consolidated approach to subscriber databases and related applications.
With solidDB 6 and AMD64 Multi-Core Processors, customers can benefit from greater performance, higher processor utilization, improved load balancing and lower administration costs. Applications communicate with the database via the high bandwidth and low-latency Direct Connect Architecture, decreasing external network traffic and improving efficiency. High availability is achieved with solidDB 6's always-on data access.
This presentation will review subscriber databases, discuss AMD64 technology and the solidDB 6 database, and look at benchmarking approaches, before concluding with the results of a standard TM1 benchmark test comparing client/server and consolidated configurations.
