Bill Neifert, chief technology officer at Carbon Design Systems(TM), the leading supplier of tools for the automatic creation, validation and deployment of virtual hardware models, will present, “Understand How to Implement Software-Driven Power Optimization,” during ARM Developers’ Conference.
The Carbon Conference Session will run Thursday, October 4, from 10-10:45 a.m. in Room 210 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.
Neifert’s talk will discuss the importance of making power-based architectural decisions early in the system design cycle. The presentation will describe a methodology to address power issues utilizing a pre-silicon software development platform incorporating ARM processors and peripheral models automatically generated from legacy, third-party, or newly developed register transfer level (RTL) code.
The session is intended for intermediate-level software developers, hardware architects and firmware designers.
