Lambda Debuts KM Series 15-40W Medical PCB Mount AC-DC Power Supplies

Lambda has introduced the KM Series of medically approved 15W to 40W enclosed PCB mount power supplies with single-, dual- or triple outputs. Eliminating the need for external power adaptors, these small, lightweight power supplies are ideal for use in a wide variety of medical equipment, in particular portable applications such as electronic blood pressure monitors and home infusion therapy equipment.

Global Unichip Improves SoC Test Quality with Synopsys Test Solution

Synopsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS), a world leader in semiconductor design software, announced that Global Unichip Corporation (GUC; TW:3443), a leading system-on- chip (SoC) design foundry, has adopted the Synopsys test solution to further improve SoC test quality. Employing Synopsys’ TetraMAX(R) automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) technology, GUC can strengthen the quality of its at-speed test solution and reduce return material authorizations (RMAs), also referred to as test escapes. GUC also intends to utilize Synopsys’ DFT MAX scan compression solution to reduce the test time associated with the increased design complexity and pattern counts inherent in at-speed test methodologies.

picoChip, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Team on WiMAX, Advanced DSP Systems

picoChip announced that it has added Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited (L&T Infotech) as a partner design centre for its picoArray(TM) multi-core DSP. Based in Mumbai, and part of the $5bn Larsen & Toubro Limited Corporation, L&T Infotech offers its customers a comprehensive product development service for communications equipment based on the picoArray. The relationship starts with WiMAX, where the two companies are cooperating on customized variants of picoChip’s industry standard reference designs, but extends to other DSP applications.

Hughes Uses Enea Element Middleware for Satellite Base Station Subsystem

Aerospace Defense Manufacturer Signs 1.35M EUR Agreement with Telelogic

Telelogic (STO:TLOG) (Nordic Exchange/MidCap/TLOG) announced 1.35 MEUR license, license upgrade and maintenance contract with a global leader in the manufacture of aerospace and defense equipment. The agreement covers Telelogic Statemate(R) for graphical design, simulation and prototyping of rapid development in complex embedded systems and will see the company extend their existing implementation with additional licenses whilst moving to a floating license model across all development sites. All licenses are covered with a two year maintenance agreement.

Biosensors Sees Growth in Medical Diagnostics Industry
