MobileAccess, the leading provider of in-building universal wireless solutions, announced that it has joined the WiMAX Forum(R), an industry-led non-profit organization committed to promoting and certifying interoperable WiMAX(TM) products. MobileAccess, which had earlier announced Mobile WiMAX MIMO support on its Universal Wireless Network, delivers a single, flexible, highly scalable broadband infrastructure for in-building deployments of wireless services.
The WiMAX Forum is dedicated to supporting a standards-based, common platform that fosters rapid innovation of interoperable products. The collaboration promoted through forum membership is designed to drive price and performance levels for new components and services not achievable with proprietary solutions. WiMAX technology is designed to assist service providers across global markets distribute economical broadband data, voice and video services to both residential and business customers.
