RTI to Embed Coral8 Engine in Real-Time Application Infrastructure

Posted by EDA Geek News Staff in IDE on Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Coral8, Inc., a leading provider of Complex Event Processing (CEP) software, and RTI, The Real-Time Middleware Experts, announced the formation of a strategic OEM partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, RTI will embed and offer the Coral8 Engine within the RTI real-time application infrastructure, delivering best-of-breed CEP technology to its customers and expanding new markets and applications for both companies.

RTI's event-processing solution integrates the Coral8 Engine with RTI's high-performance messaging, caching and data-visualization infrastructure for real-time applications. The combination of CEP and RTI's blazingly fast data-distribution technology allows developers to rapidly create and deploy distributed applications capable of processing millions of messages, data updates and events per second, with latencies of less than a millisecond.

"The Coral8 Engine adds tremendous value to our real-time middleware product line," stated Stan Schneider, CEO of RTI. "Coral8's customizable processing engine fits easily into our product suite and has a near-zero learning curve. Coral8 shortened our time-to-market and enables us to deliver customer solutions with greater business value."

The highly embeddable Coral8 Engine seamlessly integrates into third-party technology offerings so that end users can leverage the power of CEP through the existing third-party interfaces to which they are accustomed, while benefiting from a single relationship for service and support across the entire product stack. The Coral8 Engine is distinguished for supporting highly sophisticated application logic while being easy to customize and very simple to use and deploy. It supports the mission-critical, zero-down-time environments required by RTI customers.

"Coral8's mission is to be the best-of-breed supplier of CEP technology for a pervasive suite of applications," said Terry Cunningham, CEO of Coral8. "RTI's expertise in real-time messaging products and applications for defense, industrial, transportation and financial-services applications provides a perfect sales channel for our CEP technology and widens the reach of CEP into new markets."

Powered by Coral8's proven CEP software, Coral8 OEM customers benefit from a flexible application infrastructure that enables faster time-to-market for their own technology offerings and supports more sophisticated application logic. Coral8's superior technology and commitment to working closely with all its OEM partners has allowed the company to rapidly grow its OEM channel with companies such as Patient Care Technology Systems, SenseIQ, Wombat Financial Software, Event Zero, SyncVoice and others.
