EION Wireless, a global provider of broadband wireless and WiMAX and communications products, is pleased to announce that the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has authorized its broadband wireless products for purchasing by federal agencies. The GSA contract, No. GS35F0021P is in the name of EION’s VAR Channel Partner, Firstworld USA Inc. D/B/A Terminal Exchange Systems.
The inclusion of the VIP 110-24 2.4 GHz and Ultima3 5.8 GHz radios by the GSA means that these products may be purchased by federal government departments without submitting to the standard bidding process. This categorization by the GSA attests to the quality and reliability of products offered by EION Wireless; and the customer support, training and technical service excellence supplied by Terminal Exchange Systems.
Terminal Exchange Systems, EION’s Channel Partner based in Boston MA, has trained engineers on staff ready to help with the evaluation and application of this technology. Through Terminal Exchange Systems, government agencies can deploy these products for diverse government applications such as security, video surveillance, remote community connectivity and wireless sensor networks.
“The acceptance of the VIP and Ultima3 by the GSA is another milestone in EION’s strategic initiative to pursue opportunities in the public sector,” said EION CEO Kalai Kalaichelvan. “Federal agencies are a perfect match for EION’s advanced wireless bridges as this technology will allow them to solve a variety of communication problems.”
