IBASE Launches FWA6204 Entry-level Network Security Appliance
IBASE Technology, a leading manufacturer of industrial PCs, communication appliances and DVRs, introduces its latest flexible entry-level network security appliance – FWA6204. The FWA6204 is a robust 1U rackmount communications appliance built with four Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet controllers for fast connectivity.
Ideal for SOHO networking applications, the FWA6204 has a platform architecture with 400MHz system bus that delivers a high-bandwidth connection between the processor and the platform. The FWA6204 is designed around the Intel(R) 852GM chipset that has the Intel embedded lifecycle support. It features a low-power design, supports the Mobile Intel(R) Celeron(R) processor and Intel Celeron processor, and fits up to 2GB of DDR 200/266 system memory with its two DDR DIMM sockets on board.
The front panel comes with an LCM, four Ethernet ports, two USB ports and one RS-232 COM port for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. Two extra COM ports are supported with headers on board. Expansion slots come in two PCI slots, a Mini-PCI slot and a Compact Flash socket. The system has a HDD drive bay for a 3.5″ SATA drive. The FWA6204 will be available in August.
