DapTechnology, a world-leading supplier of advanced IEEE1394 protocol analyzers & solutions to the aerospace, defense, industrial, automotive and consumer electronics markets announced the immediate availability of their Mil1394b 3-channel OHCI PMC host adapter. The Mil1394b OHCI PMC host adapter, which addresses a growing need for multi-channel transformer coupled bus interfaces, is used primarily in mission critical aerospace and defense applications requiring longer media distances respecting the SAE AS5643-1 standard.
The Mil1394b OHCI PMC host adapter, which supports 33-MHz and 66-MHz PCI operation, is universally keyed for 3.3 volts & 5 volts operation, fully OHCI compliant and features 3 independent IEEE1394b channels and 9 transformer coupled ports. The product accommodates COTS IEEE1394b OHCI drivers from Microsoft & other Linux-based operating systems without any additional modifications.
The Mil1394b 3-Channel OHCI PMC host adapter uses the TSB41BA3 physical layer silicon from Texas Instruments and supports data transfer rates of up to 400 Mbps in Beta mode. As a special feature, the port modes on each of the 3 PHY chipsets may be programmed independently via dip switches.
“Our Aerospace & Defense customers want products that go the distance,” says Jan de Vries, CEO of DapTechnology. Mr. de Vries adds, “The DapTechnology Mil1394b 3-Channel OHCI PMC host adapter allows engineers to rapidly construct multi-channel, embedded 1394b reference designs using COTS Single Board Computers equipped with standard PMC sites.”
The Mil1394b 3-channel OHCI PMC host adapter is currently shipping. Additional information on the product and DapTechnology may be obtained by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
