MontaVista Enables Real-Time Linux for Intel IXP435 Network Processor

MontaVista(R) Software, Inc. a leading provider of Linux(R) for intelligent devices and communications infrastructure, announced the availability of MontaVista Linux Professional Edition 5.0 for use on the Intel(R) IXP435 Multi-Service Residential Gateway Reference Platform. MontaVista Linux Professional Edition 5.0 and its real-time capabilities are optimized specifically for the platform, providing the software base for next-generation broadband applications.

The Intel IXP435 processor offers a smaller footprint, exceptional low-power dissipation, DDR2-400 memory controller, and two Hi-Speed USB 2.0 hosts.
