O2Micro Receives Patent for Digital Pulse Width Modulator Generator

O2Micro(R) International Limited (Nasdaq(R): OIIM; SEHK: 0457), a leading supplier of innovative power management, and security components and systems, was issued 7 claims under United States patent number 7,184,480 for its Digital Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) Generator.

This patented architecture employs a digital control methodology to provide a PWM generator to design an integrated circuit (IC) according to a specific application. Product applications include LCD Monitors and TVs, GPS units, and PDAs where an adequate PWM signal is required.
