Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI-based firmware, BIOS, and engineering services, announced it will be leading a tutorial webcast in which Intel will be co-presenting on June 14, 2007 at 2:00pm EDT. This tutorial explores BIOS development challenges in embedded systems and how "The Framework" (Intel(R) Platform Innovation Framework for Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) helps overcome those challenges.

As embedded systems have become more PC-like than ever before, BIOS firmware development challenges have intensified. Three specific BIOS challenges that create perplexing problems – leading to missed deadlines, poor quality, budget overruns, and general emotional distress – are in the areas of: thermal management, firmware application development and board debugging. It is these three challenges that are discussed in this tutorial webcast.
