Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) announced the integration of its full-wave 3D simulator Electromagnetic Design System (EMDS) into the company's industry-leading Advanced Design System (ADS) EDA software platform. The Agilent EMDS-for-ADS speeds up the design and verification process by reducing the steps necessary for accurate design of high-frequency RF/microwave design of modules, RF boards and planar antennas.

ST, Gemalto Create Turnkey Microcontroller for Smart Card Readers

Sonics Rolls Out MemMax RD Memory Scheduler

Sonics Inc., a premier supplier of system-on-chip (SoC) SMART Interconnect-solutions, announced the general availability of MemMax RD, a new version of Sonics' MemMax Memory scheduler solution that contains a seamless interface and pre-verified configuration and initialization settings optimized for the Synopsys(R) DesignWare(R) DDR2 SDRAM Protocol Controller intellectual property (IP). Connecting MemMax RD to the DesignWare DDR2 SDRAM Protocol Controller IP "out of the box" has demonstrated greater than 5 Gigabytes/second external memory bandwidth and over 80 percent channel utilization, while satisfying the throughput and quality of service (QoS) requirements for demanding applications such as high definition video streaming.

Strategic Test Debuts LabVIEW driver for UltraFast PCI Boards

Strategic Test Corp has announced the availability of a LabVIEW driver for their UltraFast range of Digitizer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator and high-speed Digital I/O PCI cards. The driver supports all of the card's features including the ability to stream signal data at up to 200 MBytes per second enabling long signals to be recorded or generated at high-speed.
